🛡️ Zen Browser: Because I Wanted Quiet Power, Not a Chromium Monster

Switched to Zen Browser and it felt like joining a secret nerd club.

Zen is a Firefox‑based, open-source browser that slaps privacy, customization, and design all in one suitcase.

  • Tabs are vertical, workspace-based, and way more organized than my brain deserves.
  • It has a “Split View” so you can stare at two sites at once. Multi‑pane browsing = chaos mastery.
  • “Zen Glance” lets you preview links in a modal instead of opening a tab, so your desktop stays chill.
  • Custom themes? Yep. Zen Mods are like tiny extensions of your soul.

Privacy & Security 🙈

  • Built on the latest Firefox, so all the security patches land fast.
  • Uses OCSP to check SSL certificates. Zen doesn’t let you hang out on shady sites.
  • Has HTTPS‑Only mode, tracking protection, and even DNS-over-HTTPS.
  • According to their privacy policy, they don’t collect your data, don’t track you, and don’t sell you out.

I used to be a Brave Browser fan. It's fast, private, ad-blocked. Then I tried Zen Browser and it felt more organized with the brave browser privileges. Just add uBlock Origin to zen browser and you're good to go.

Why I Use It

Zen doesn’t feel like a “safe, boring, privacy browser.” It feels alive. I can tweak it. I can split my browsing into workspaces. I can summon a link preview with Glance. And I know my data isn’t being vacuumed up by corporate overlords.

If I want speed, privacy, and beautiful, sane chaos in one browser, Zen’s the one I turn to.
